Who can apply?
The Fellowship Program, organized in the wake of Italy’s participation as Guest of Honour at the Warsaw International Book Fair, is open to Polish publishers of all literary categories, interested in exploring new opportunities, making contacts, and negotiating with Italian publishers. A total of around 6 applicants will be selected.
Priority will be given to: potential buyers looking for Italian writers and books to be translated abroad; publishing houses whose catalogue already includes Italian titles; professionals with at least 3 years of experience in the publishing field; publishers who have not participated at the Rights Centre in the last 2 years.
The Fellowship Program includes:
• a round-trip economy class flight ticket to Rome (arrival: 1 December; departure: 6 December);
• 5 nights hotel accommodation;
• visits and meetings with publishing houses and bookshops in Rome on the 2nd and 3rd of December;
• free customized table at the Rights Centre on the 4th and 5th of December;
• free access to the b2b matching platform before the Fair, in order to schedule appointments with Italian exhibitors;
• light lunch during the b2b meetings;
• shuttle bus between the hotel and fair building and vice versa;
• 1 entrance pass, valid for every day of the fair;
• participation in the Italian publishing market conference, organized by the Research Department of the Italian Publishers Association;
• free wi-fi.
