In 2017, La Biennale di Venezia created, published and distributed (in Italy and abroad, and through its website www.labiennale.org) the official catalogues of its Art and Architecture Exhibitions, and International Film, Dance, Music and Theatre Festivals. In 2024, after 53 years, the historic magazine published by La Biennale di Venezia is being revived. Conceived and published as a printed edition, and featuring a significant iconographic apparatus that borrows largely from the Historical Archive and experimental photographic projects, both national and international, the magazine will be produced quarterly. Each issue, which will feature a monographic focus, will contain original and exclusive articles, testimonies, interviews, dialogues and contributions by Italian and international artists, scholars and personalities from the cultural sphere and civil society. The first issue 1/24 is titled Diluvi prossimi venturi / The Coming Floods.
The new publications in 2024 include the book Luca Massimo Barbero. Un Diavolo Amico, which gathers all the materials, including photographs, books, documents, posters and much more, from the archive of Luca Massimo Barbero which has been donated to the Biennale Historical Archive- Furthermore, the centennial of the birth of the great Venetian composer Luigi Nono is being celebrated with the publication of an anastatic copy, featuring new texts, of the libretto for the opera Prometeo.
